Description
The Blue Swedish are a medium weight, calm duck, similar in size to the Rouen and are very hardy. They are fairly fast growing, good foragers, and have good quality meat. In breeding it is tricky to keep the blue coloring prevalent. If you breed a Blue Swedish to a Blue Swedish, half will stay blue while a quarter will turn more black and the other quarter a lighter silver gray. This breed is domestic meaning it cannot fly. All our ducks make great pets except the Mallard.
